It is a little difficult to know what to make of Hutt City’s proposal to create a conference centre. For a start, you have to wonder if they are really serious, and secondly, you have to wonder why they would want to knock down their best heritage buildings in order to do so. It’s not as if there is a shortage of land in the Hutt….
