Sorry team – my willpower to write is gone. Too much death and tragedy in the world and not enough caring about the architecture around us. I’m done.
So, searching for a new Author to take this on. Maybe find a new purpose in life? (For the blog, not for me – well, OK, for me as well). If you’re keen, leave a comment here, or email us at contact@eyeofthefish.org and we will get back to you.
Farewell.
Nemo

Why so glum, my Fishy one? There’s plenty more fish in the sea !
It’s a question of scale.
It’s cos I never went to School.
Would had a whale of a time.
Bad puns aside, thank you Nemo for your service
You have shone a light into many corners which have needed scrutiny yet they have shunned such sunshine
It is a thankless task which is cold as charity
I hope someone suitable appears, but if not, I’d like to record my appreciation and thanks to everyone who has contributed over the years – can’t think when I first started reading EOTF but it was a long time ago, and I still do even though I don’t live in Wellington any more. Here’s to determined, independent commentary.
Thank you Nemo for your amazing contributions and efforts in keeping EOTF going all these years. I’ve only been an occasional responder but have enjoyed every post you have made and the informative & often witty threads that would follow. I really hope that someone in the community will be able to step up and keep things running.
Why thank you John H, i too have enjoyed our interactions over the years.
what does Mr Beard contribute to these days?
or could you, if you don’t find a worth successor, recommend other architecture, urbanist or transit-leaning sites, blogs etc for Wellington?
Mr Beard was on Twitter for a long time and still exists in an ephemeral form in the twittersphere, although of course these days he is more likely to reside somewhere in the big Blue Sky… He’s never coming back. I think that Beard, like so many others these days, has abandoned websites in favour of social networks.
