These poor Aussies seem to have a screw loose about Wellington traffic conditions. I thought that a quick mash up of actual site conditions, taken from actual photos of actual cars actually driving on Taranaki St, might help their design skills along a bit. Free to a good home, A+ !!!
Anyone would think you’re a half-decent architect Levi! ;-)
Have you seen this Levi? – https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/property/111728248/spotlight-on-5000-character-homes-as-wellington-city-council-tries-to-accommodate-80000-people
If we are wanting another 80,000 people in Wellington why the fluff are we building what are essentially townhouses in the center of the CBD… something doesn’t add up…
Thanks Sea-Monkey – I’m glad you appreciate my efforts – was risking life and limb to get those site photos yesterday, standing in the middle of the road taking pictures. Not a pleasant place to be, I can tell you!
Ged – indeed I did, and thought of posting something about it this morning, but then people wouldn’t get to see my wicked ‘shop skills here…. but yes – post coming on that very subject soon!
One small quibble – only two buses? Surely there should either be five (all to the zoo) or none at all.
but starkive – you know the old story – you wait forever for a bus to come along, and then three come at once. Actually – its interesting (vaguely) – that stretch of road is helluva busy in the mornings, but not so busy in the evenings. It could probably do with at least two lanes being taken out of it….
….and incidentally, two lanes converted to Light Rail up Taranaki St would suit that need well….
If you look very very carefully, there is a car in there labelled “ninjas”. They’re everywhere !
