It’s that time of the year again, where the Fish hangs up it’s byeline and heads to the beach for some rest and recreation. Thank you to my remaining readers, of which there are at least 4, or perhaps it is 400, I really can’t tell.

But big special thanks to those who contribute and comment and keep this blog alive, some 15 years after blogs went out of fashion – thanks to 60mPa for being hard as high-strength concrete, to Greenwelly for being everywhere in every forum and always saying sensible things, to Kumara Republic – likewise, i like seeing your comments wherever I go, it takes a lot of energy to be that active online!

to Mr Henry Filth who is adept at a caustic comment and catching cranky old crabs in their off moments, to Alan for being eternally grumpy at me, to Stuart Gardyne who I hear is doing great in rehab and I hope you are still reading this blog – sending you all my best wishes – to Chico who I think knows more than he/she lets on, and will sue the pants off anyone if they say otherwise, to Seamonkey Madness who keeps Wellington on its collective toes, to Julienz who sometimes scares me with her views:
